Influenced by Stevie Wonder’s groove to Burt Bacharach's relaxed, jazzy yet poppy sensitivities, including outcast contemporary artists such as John Legend, Hiatus Coyote, Flying Lotus, James Blake, Janellle Monae and Thundercat, Gabriel’s trademark sound is his singing over a cello, the result being an easy listening modern chamber pop.  Gabriel Royal, his self-titled debut album, was produced, engineered and programmed in Brooklyn.
